The best way to enjoy the bridge is probably not by walking on the bridge. The traffic on the bridge was very busy and noisy. I couldn't help but watch for the cars whooshing by on the bridge when taking pictures here. But when we walked past the bridge down to the other side of it where the city hall was located, we had a really good time strolling around. There were cafes that were obviously built at a high level for sight seeing nearby the city hall. If it was not 9pm already and they were about to close, we would have got a table and enjoyed the view of tower bridge through the cafe's huge glass windows without bearing the wind out there. We took some pictures here and Lindsay played and splashed in the sprinklers for a little bit. Then we finished our fun by walking along the bank to the metro station...
The semi ball shaped building is the city hall of London.

a cafe nearby the bridge (loving the scene of a father taking picture of his child)
Not sure why there was a warship in the river. A restaurant?

I didn't bring a tripod, so pictures were so out of control when it became dark. xxx
