Shredded 6.5lb/3kg already, a new diet stepped in

Three months ago, I promised that I would have cut out the fat on my arms within a month (see my lie here), which I failed partly. I lost about 12lbs (5.5kg) in three months, but regained 5.5lb (2.5kg) in the past two weeks. But my arms were not any closer to looking toned or skinny anyways even when I lost 12lbs.

I did cardio exercises and lifted weights. My weight kept going down accordingly. Then I was too proud of myself and lost control on my diet. There had been too many dinner dates with friends lately and I thought I could stay the same weight as long as I kept on my workout routine, so I just ate in pleasure without worrying how much food I had taken. BIG MISTAKE!!! The cardio exercises could actually help get rid of much less calories than I thought it would.

I tried to do a 30-35 minutes intense cardio 3 times a week. I didn't know that, until today, my each workout only used up about 235 calories, which means if I have 2000 calories of food everyday, a 30 minutes workout will never help me lose weights; instead, I will just gradually go back to where I was because we women only need 1200-1400 calories a day to stay both fit and healthy.

So I downloaded this application MyFitnessPal from my ipad today in order to watch what I eat. I entered my height, weight, age, the goal that I want my weight to be and for how long, and then it showed me the calories that I should only take a day. I also love the feature of its showing how much portions of protein, fat, carbs, sugar, sodium I have taken when I enter the food I eat for each meal, with which I can watch over to have a balanced diet even when I am on a diet.

Today is my first day. So far I feel great, not feeling I am hungering myself. I also made a bit change on my exercise routine. I used to exercise after I sent my girl off to bed, about 8:30-9pm. But I am afraid that I will feel hungry after exercising, so I switch it to the mornings.

My goal is to shed another 19 pounds (8.5kg). So let's see how good I will be after 2 months. (I wanted to check the result after 1 month, but I am going to the macaron city (a.k.a. Paris) in a week, so I am sure my weight is not gonna be looking good by then)

Add me to your friend list on MyFitnessPal if you are my facebook friend. It's more encouraging and fun to have someone working on losing weight together.

I probably just lost 1lb/0.5kg by now. Almost no difference.

Not so much different on my arms, but I guess my face was less chubby
after shredding about 6lbs/ 3kg

Stayed the same. I was stuck on the same weight and my arms didn't change that much from the beginning. They are always my trouble zones. Hopefully, the change on my diet can really help.
