Keep an eye on iron (diet on day 3)

I forgot to mention, in the previous blog, that I wish to lose 1kg (/2.2lbs) per week and the program suggested that I should limit my food to 1200 cal everyday.

Today is my third day. My feeling toward this diet is somewhat excited and somewhat unsure because of the speed of my losing weight. I have lost 1kg after just 2 days. I was so happy that I cut out some fat, but my hubby told me that I looked tired and sick today. I thought back for a moment and indeed I've felt a bit dizzy since the second day. I've probably lost too many nutrients along the way or I simply didn't feed up my body enough based on this program.

I quickly grabbed a bottle of some kind of vitamin drink from Wholefood to rescue myself. As soon as I got home, I pulled up the information from Google regarding the sick-looking face on people who are on a diet and then found out that it was probably resulted by the lack of iron. When the body doesn't have enough iron, the hemoglobin can't carry oxygen effectively. Then you have a high chance to have mild anemia and suffer by dizziness.

So here is some change for Day 4. I am going to add soymilk to my breakfast. According to these websites (soy milk and iron in soy milk), soy milk is rich of Omaga-3, Omaga-6, B vitamains, Iron and so. It's supposed to be really good for people on a diet. Oh, by the way, I also took one multivitamin to salvage my skin after dinner. Hopefully, my skin will look awake and radiant again by tomorrow morning. YA!!
