I can't stop bragging about my baby. She is kind, brave, and so innocent.
This afternoon, my baby was pinched in her index finger by a peek a boo toy as we attended the baby storytime group at Murphy Wilmot library. She cried as hard as you could imagine. Though this was already heartbreaking to me, things that upset me the most were the whole episode.
My baby was actually hurt by the other baby who played the same toy with. As my baby's exploring the popped up peek-a-boo panda with her finger, the other baby pressed down its lid abruptly. My baby's finger was right pinched and cut in a hole. I picked her up immediately and took her to the corner to console her. She stopped crying in a minute and came back to play in toys again.
When the accident happened, the baby's mom was just staring at us. She didn't come any closer to check on my baby, let alone she would say "I am sorry". I always though that taking this kind of opportunity to teach your baby about compassion and sympathy was a common sense. Apparently, I was very wrong.
But I am so proud of my baby. She is beautiful inside her heart.
After she was calm , she gave me smile at all time there and all the way home. She knew how much I felt sorry about her. And she's generous enough to show her appreciation as always. I love her even more for her inside beauty.
