Hey guys, I have to share these photos of Lindsay meeting with Santa last weekend because all the moments were so precious and touching. They are the pictures that show you how much your kid has been growing:
First year, your child is shy and most likely, he bursts into tears immediately after you put him on Santa's lap. "Who the hell is this old man?" Your child probably shouts inside his mind. Second year, he tries to hold up his tears in order to please you but want you to finish the photo shoots as fast as you can. And you get pictures of your child mostly frowning. Then when it comes to the third year, your child eventually get excited about meeting with Santa and wants to tell the old man what he wishes for Christmas.
So here we are. Lindsay met with Santa for her third time this winter. And she was thrilled that she could ask Santa to make her dreams come true: dancing in a Sleeping Beauty Aurora's pink dress. Both parents and child were happy at last.

There is an old town located on Main Street in the city we live. The city sent Santa to greet kids in an old but tasteful log cabin last weekend. It started on Friday and was very festival. On the way to pick up my husband from work, we saw a choir singing "Santa Claus is coming to town" around the corners in the town. Kids and parents holding a cup of hot chocolate in their hand were running in the rain, searching for a place to hide. With smiles on their faces, they seemed to have a lot of fun.
I was so glad that we had to pass old town everyday or we would have missed the chance to meet Santa. We went to the cabin the next morning. It was a rainy day too, but the rain wouldn't stop us from it. But it did discourage some kids' parents to take the kids out
though, which was lucky for us. No lines to wait. No rush to finish it.
Last year was like this. Lindsay went up to tell Santa that she wanted a Minnie Mouse camera. Then Santa gave her a candy cane and called up to next kid. I barely had time to take a nice picture.
It started out a bit different this year. They called Lindsay up for a picture with Santa first when it was Lindsay's turn. Lindsay was surprised by the act, so instead of sitting next to Santa, she quickly tucked herself into the edge of the chair, distancing herself from Santa, which made the crowd burst out laughing. Santa was completely puzzled at first, but I guess he got that a lot. It shouldn't be odd for Santa to see a situation like this. Who doesn't find Santa scary anyway? haha..
They also gave us plenty of time to take family pictures. Unfortunately, I forgot to set my camera in "auto" setting for the helper, so we only got a blurry family portrait.
After picture time, Santa began to ask Lindsay about the present she wanted for Christmas. Lindsay told Santa that she wanted a Sleeping Beauty's dress for Christmas. I though that was it. So did Lindsay. But because there were no other kids awaiting, Santa got plenty of time for Lindsay and bombarded her with more questions. LOL. My hubby and I started to worry that Lindsay would burst out in tears when Santa wouldn't let her go and kept chatting with her. But, she made it through the very last moment until Santa asked her if she wanted a computer or iPad. She felt very embarrassed at the point and called to me for help because she didn't know how to say "a sleeping beauty's dress is all I want" in English. She continued practicing this sentence for days after. She was so scared to be besieged like that again. Isn't that cute? LOL
Lindsay said she wanted a crown with her dress (she actually meant tiara), but Santa got her wrong. He thought Lindsay wanted a "trunk" and Lindsay continued the conversations anyway, saying that she wanted a trunk this big.
Some people don't believe in Santa. Well, but if you tell my kid that
Santa doesn't exist and the present is sent to you by your parents, then
I will kill you in any ways. Having something to expect makes life much
sweeter for one reason. And just watching the cheerful little face on
Christmas morning makes every parent happy all day too. So please don't take
away our joys.
Hope you'll have got a nice picture with Santa, too.
Merry Christmas & Happy holidays!!!
